2025 MAZDA CX-70 vs 2025 MAZDA CX-70 PHEV
Serving Colorado Springs & Castle Rock, CO
For the 2025 model year, Mazda's SUV lineup expands with the introduction of the Mazda CX-70 and the Mazda CX-70 PHEV. The Mazda CX-70 sits below the Mazda CX-90 in the lineup. While the two are comparable in many ways, the Mazda CX-70 is only available with two rows of seats. The result is a spacious cabin with ample cargo space. As new models, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 and the Mazda CX-70 PHEV require a closer look before your next auto purchase.
Performance
This midsize Mazda CX-70 comes in your choice of two gas engines. The 3.3 Turbo trim level has a turbo 3.3-liter, inline-six engine that gives you 280 horsepower. The 3.3 Turbo S trim level features a modified version of this same engine, and the system delivers 340 horsepower. If you drive the Mazda CX-70 PHEV, your plug-in hybrid vehicle will be powered by a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine with an all-electric motor. For both cars, all-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission are standard.
Appearance
The only difference between the Mazda CX-70 and the Mazda CX-70 PHEV on the exterior is the plug-in charging port on the Mazda CX-70 PHEV. A sporty, tapered roof mutes the size. The smooth sides add a contemporary look and display black molding and a forward air intake. The nose is subtly curved and tall. An LED bar angles toward the small LED headlights at the upper corners of the wide grille. The slanted air vents have an irregular shape for a standout look. Select trims for both models have exterior gear like a panoramic sunroof, adaptive and self-leveling headlights, a hands-free power liftgate, up to 21-inch wheels, roof rails, and a few additional features.
Features
The features available in the Mazda CX-70 and the Mazda CX-70 PHEV vary by trim, and these models have the same features. Some of these are a heated steering wheel, premium leather upholstery, a surround-view camera, reverse auto braking, a front cross-traffic warning with auto braking, heated front and rear seats, a digital instrument panel, a rear passenger reminder, lane keeping with assistance, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a navigation system, memory settings for the driver's position, a safe exit alert, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, Amazon Alexa, USB ports for both rows, Pandora, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 12.3-inch central display screen, and more.
