2024 MAZDA CX-90 vs 2024 MAZDA CX-90 PHEV

Serving Colorado Springs & Castle Rock, CO

The 2024 Mazda CX-90 is an all-new crossover SUV that replaces the outgoing Mazda CX-9. Like the Mazda CX-9, the Mazda CX-90 is a midsize, three-row model. It offers two gas powertrain options, as well as the Mazda CX-90 PHEV. You can rely on our team at Bob Penkhus Mazda at Powers to help you select the right crossover SUV for your needs.

Performance

The two gas engines for the 2024 Mazda CX-90 come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. These are a 3.3-liter turbo, V6, 280-horsepower engine, and an upgraded variant that produces 340 horsepower. The 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV pairs an electric motor with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The total output is 323 horsepower. Like the other two options, the PHEV has an eight-speed auto transmission with all-wheel drive. The all-electric driving range is 26 miles.

Appearance

The Mazda CX-90 and Mazda CX-90 PHEV are almost identical on the exterior. This long model maintains its sleek look with an angled roofline and smooth, captivating sides. The sides offer a hint of metallic accentuation over the lower door panels and the air inlet. The grille is remarkably styled with a bold, chrome outline that fades to the sides to connect with the sporty LED headlights. The nose is also accented with tall, deep air intakes. The Mazda CX-90 PHEV and the lower gas-powered trims add roof rails, a hands-free power liftgate, 19 to 21-inch wheels, and a sunroof. The more advanced trims with the high-powered gas engine also have a windshield wiper de-icer, power-folding and auto-dimming side mirrors, and more.

Features

The Mazda CX-90 PHEV has features comparable to those of the lower Mazda CX-90 trim levels. Some of these features are a tri-zone climate control system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, frontal collision mitigation, a 10.25-inch infotainment system screen, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, a rear seat reminder, a blind-spot warning, lane keeping assistance, leather upholstery, second-row sunshades, USB ports, heated front seats and more. The more advanced Mazda CX-90 trims also come with captain's chairs in the second row, heated seats in the middle row, a front cross-traffic warning with collision mitigation, auto reverse braking, a digital instrument panel, and a few other features.
